Did anyone ever have that nasty wart that you just hate
seeing or a mole that everyone says looks disgusting. Well, we all have our
nasty bits, so I bought a voucher from Groupon, for Php250 per body part. I took this deal because unlike the other deals, which would give you unlimited wart treatment-- it included moles, which was definitely rare.
Here it goes:
1. Schedule-
I don’t know why, this place doesn’t seem to have a lot in their schedule. They
just told me to go there any time I wanted, which was very convenient indeed! But don't forget to schedule your appointment still.
2. Location-
That’s the big problem. It was a hard place to find, I didn’t take a good look
at Google Maps before I went there. But generally, it’s on the 2nd
floor of a building adjacent to St. Joseph College, (I think). If you see a KFC there, it’s along that road. If
you want the exact location go check out their site. Exact location: 295 Eulogio Rodriguez Sr. Ave, Quezon City.
3. Comfort-
It was quite comfortable. Wonderful interior, but the inner room where the treatment
was held was OK. They just took some time to set things up for the procedure.
4. Staff-
Quite accommodating and nice.
5. Procedure-
Before anything starts, they ask you to fill up a form, just like in any
clinic, and I have to tell you that it is an actual clinic which has a
dermatologist. Anyway, you are asked to lie in bed and all your warts and/or
moles are covered with a topical analgesic or in layman’s term they put a cream
on them so that you won’t feel the pain when they cauterize you. Read more on
cauterization in discussions. Anyway, they cover it up (warts/moles to be
treated and surrounding area) with cling wrap or the thin plastic that you use
to cover the food in your fridge, for 45min-1hr. After which, your attendant
goes back and then the cauterization starts. They start by cauterizing your
warts/moles away. It feels painful, most especially for warts because they don’t
use lidocaine or an injectable anesthetic so that you don’t feel the burn of
the cautery tip, but then, if you do feel too much pain, tell the attendant,
probably she’ll give you a lidocaine shot. For moles, they ask their derma to
look at it first and with the go signal, they will infiltrate, or put lidocaine
underneath the sites of where the mole/wart lies. This is so that you won’t
feel pain when the procedure is done. For me it was a completely tolerable
procedure, considering that I have a very high pain threshold. During the
procedure you will smell the scent of burning skin. The pain is tolerable. It’s
like having a lot of ants bite you. For the injection, it’s just like having an
ant bite you and put something under your skin.
6. The fine
print- if you don’t have an anti-inflammatory and an anti-bacterial cream
at home, the attendant will advise that you buy some. They have some worth
Php300, for both the anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial cream. You cannot wet
the body parts treated for a certain period of time, I think 24hrs? I forget.
^^ Use the anti-bacterial cream twice a day for was it 7 days? And the
anti-inflammatory cream for 3 days maybe. I forgot the details. Anyway.
7. The
Results- I am now unwanted mole and wart free!
In GENERAL- It was a very good call. I saw from their “MENU” of services that it costs somewhere near Php1500 for the procedure, and I’m not sure if that is unlimited, as opposed to the Php350 plus Php300 for the meds, a total of Php650, that I spent. I’m very happy with the procedure, although the downside was the fact that the place was not easily accessible for me in particular.
NOTE: I have no intention of helping or harming the establishments that I have posted on my blog. I just genuinely want other people to know what they are paying for and what to expect. I highly encourage other people to blog, because I depended on a lot of blogs and forums so that I would know what I’m doing and paying for.
