Unwanted hair? If the answer is Yes, IPL is probably one of
the things you thought about to solve that problem. Bought a Metrodeal voucher
for this particular problem, worth Php99. ^^ I’m cheap what can I say? Haha!
Anyway, about Doc Laurence, here’s what I have to say:
1. Schedule-
Schedule weeks before just to make sure, most especially if you see that there
are a lot of people who bought vouchers. I am sure that they will try to get
good slots. But in my part, it wasn’t hard to get a good slot because I called
them quite early.
2. Location-
It’s (un)conveniently located in Marikina, but for those of you who are near
Marikina, well good for you. Anyway, it’s easy to spot. There’s a salon at the
first floor and then the clinic is at the second floor. It’s located in Unit
37-B Bayan- Bayanan Avenue, Marikina.
3. Comfort-
The place where the procedure is done is actually near the receiving area.
There’s just a curtains there. It’s okay. You can move around.
4. Staff-
Very very friendly. So accommodating
that I forgot that I paid only Php99 for the treatment. I found their staff
more accommodating despite the price tag. Two thumbs up. Plus the doctor there
was very nice and friendly too.
5. Procedure-
First, they ask you to sign a form, then a waiver allowing them to conduct the
procedure. Then, their attendants, who are nurses, ascertain that you fully
know what you’re getting yourself into (not in a threatening way) and make sure
that you fully comprehend the procedure and what to expect, which was very nice
(even if I already knew everything she said before going there), in short a
very good informed consent. Next, they will clean the area up. Pulse it (This
time it felt like being flicked by a rubber band because I had hair). They gave
two shots per underarm. (They might have given more shots if I paid more for
the deal). Anyway, then for the whitening treatment, they gave was it three or four
shots per underarm, which was not painful, as opposed to the two previous
shots. The whitening cream was then applied at the end.
6. Reminders-
Make sure that you read about IPL, and that there are certain conditions where
you cannot have the treatment, such as:
a)
if you have red/blonde hair,
b)
if your complexion is dark to very dark
c)
taken certain meds like Tretinoin etc. (You
better read about this in another place)
d)
also before treatment you should: not have
plucked/waxed the body part to be treated, and also make sure (according to the
staff) that you should have hair left in that area during the treatment.
7. The Fine
Print- No hidden charges! The first coupon I bought that didn’t have hidden
charges.^^
8. The
Results- I can’t say. Probably , I will see it after all the treatments are
done.
IN GENERAL- A
very good deal indeed! I would recommend the place to the people near the
location. And as opposed to IPL’s price in other places, I would say that it is
worth the pay. ^^

intention of helping or harming the establishments that I have posted on my
blog. I just genuinely want other people to know what they are paying for and
what to expect. I highly encourage other people to blog, because I depended on
a lot of blogs and forums so that I would know what I’m doing and paying for.
